IELTS General – Syllabus / Exam Pattern
The IELTS General Test assesses your English in four skill areas: the Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing. (the Reading and Writing parts differ between General Training and Academic versions)
Here’s the structure:

Important Note
- The Listening, Reading, and Writing tests are done on the same day, consecutively (without break between them) in that order.
- The Speaking test may be scheduled on the same day or up to 7 days before or after the other three, depending on the centre’s arrangements.
